Strong Hitting Not Enough As Mexico 12U Falls To Dallas Heat

Even though Mexico 12U collected five hits to Dallas Heat's three, they still fell 7-3 on Thursday at Kiest Park. Aileen, Dharius, Isabel, Gael, and James M each collected one hit for Mexico 12U.

A triple by Dharius put Mexico 12U on the board in the top of the first.

Fab singled down the left field line on an 0-2 count, which helped Dallas Heat tie the game at two in the bottom of the first.

Dallas Heat jumped back into the lead in the bottom of the second inning after Noah doubled down the right field line, Jr walked, John singled down the left field line, Rose walked, and Noah was struck by a pitch, each scoring one run.

Dharius opened the game for Mexico 12U. The starting pitcher gave up two hits and five runs (four earned) over one inning, striking out three and walking five. Noah stepped on the hill first for Dallas Heat. The starting pitcher surrendered five hits and three runs over three innings, striking out six and walking three.

Dharius provided pop in the middle of the lineup, and led Mexico 12U with two runs batted in. The right-handed hitter went 1-for-1 on the day. Gael stole two bases.

Fab provided pop in the middle of the lineup, and led Dallas Heat with two runs batted in. Fab went 1-for-2 on the day. Fab, Noah, and John each collected one hit for Dallas Heat. Dallas Heat had patience at the plate, amassing eight walks for the game. Jr and Lopez led the team with two bases on balls each. Noah and Lopez each stole multiple bases for Dallas Heat. Dallas Heat ran wild on the base paths, piling up eight stolen bases for the game. Dallas Heat were sure-handed and didn't commit a single error. Noah made the most plays with one.
